Hey friends! Happy Wednesday! This post is going out a little later than normal. I’ve mentioned before that I have a lot going on at my day job right now and it’s keeping me REALLY busy. Long story, short, my company is merging with not one, but two other companies, very soon. So there is not a shortage of things to do, as I’m sure you can imagine.
Yesterday we hosted some people from the other two associations that I will be closely working with, so we all went out to dinner last night to get to know each other. I didn’t get home that late, (read: 9pm) but at some point after I sat down to write this post, I fell asleep, sitting up, at my computer! I woke up at around 1am, realized what had happened and promptly put myself to bed. You’ve all done this before, right? Tell me I’m not the first one to fall asleep at my computer?! Lol

I wore this pretty little yellow gingham dress to a friend’s wedding a couple of weeks ago and I got so many compliments on it that I wanted to share it with you guys. Also, it’s less than $50 and you all know that I can’t pass up a good deal! It’s great for weddings, showers or just an everyday dress. Since it’s more a trapeze style, it’d be perfect for those backyard BBQ’s where you’re sure to eat too much, because it will hide that proverbial food baby! #iknowyouknowwhatimtalkingabout
This gingham print screams summer and the yellow color makes it even more unique. I also love the halter tie and bow details! I actually wore some pretty coral hoops to the wedding, but just received these adorable coral statement earrings and had to wear them for the post!
Believe it or not, I did manage to wear these sandals the whole wedding and reception. I even did a little dancing in them! I have problem feet and they never hurt my feet once! They’re currently on sale and I HIGHLY recommend you snagging a pair. They are an almost identical dupe for those other, WAAY more expensive ones! 😉 See where I’ve worn them here, here and here.
Dress: Asos (under $50!) // Heels: Target (on sale for $32, comes in 2 colors + available in all sizes!) // Bracelet: J.Crew (similar, here + here) // Bag: My Gram’s <3 (love this one! option here, here + here) // Earrings: Baublebar // Sunnies: Ray-ban
I can not end this post before talking about my bag. This bag is very special to me because it belonged to my Gram. She passed away a couple of years ago and I miss her so much. Being the oldest grandchild, she and I were best friends! Every time the Bachelor or Bachelorette comes on, I think of her and how we used to go over to her condo on Monday nights and watch it with her. She secretly loved that show!! Lol She was one classy lady with an impeccable sense of style. I will forever cherish this bag! Do you have little mementos of loved ones who’ve passed? I’d love to hear about them in the comments.
As always, thanks for reading!
