What to Wear Wine Tasting + My Early Access Nordstrom Anniversary Picks

What to Wear Wine Tasting | Style in a Small Town

A couple of weeks ago, I spent a week in California with some of my best girlfriends for a wine tasting trip! We had THE best time. I’m going to do a recap of all of the wineries and vineyards that we went to as well as some other activities that we did on vacation in an upcoming post. But for today I’m sharing this exact look that I wore on our first day wine tasting in Napa.

Napa is known to be a little bit more upscale than Sonoma. So I opted for this bow blouse and Topshop a-line denim skirt. It was incredibly hot out that day, so sleeveless tops and skirts or shorts were a necessity. We went to roughly 6 different wineries and vineyards that first day. I say roughly because, well, we were wine tasting and after a few (or more) glasses of wine, regardless of the size, things start to get a little fuzzy! 😉 Don’t worry, though, we hired a driver to drive us around so no one had to be the DD.

This lightweight blouse was the perfect option for me, being that it’s flowy and not too constricting. Also, I have to tell you how AMAZING these sandals are!  Well, first of all, I have to give credit where credit is due. I’m not the one who discovered these amazing shoes. One of my favorite bloggers, Merrick, posted about them on her blog. As a mom of 2 adorable boys and a brand new baby, she said she’s worn them all day and never had a problem. So that was reason enough for me to try them! What to Wear Wine Tasting | Style in a Small Town

You can ask just about anyone who knows me and they’ll tell you that I’ve always said you’d never catch me wearing a pair of Crocs. Well, I definitely ate my words since these beauties are in fact made by Crocs. They hardly weigh a pound and they are so comfortable you feel like you’re walking on clouds! I have had a LOT of problems with my feet over the past year (hello plantar fascitis) and I’m only 32, so sacrificing style for comfort was going to be a big problem for me. So when I discovered these wedges I knew I had to try them!

One of the coolest things about them, is that you don’t have to buckle and unbuckle them. As you can see in the picture above, you adjust the buckle how you want it and then slip it through the open clasp on the other side of the strap! Genius!! Definitely another selling point for me!

Skirt: Topshop (new version here, love this one $30, lighter version, faded option $30) // Top: Old Navy (option here, here + here) // Sandals: Zappos (SO incredibly comfortable!) // Bag: Urban Expressions c/o (Use code UE25CG6P2 for 25% off!) // Bracelets: Boho Betty c/o here, here + here (Use code STYLEINASMALLTOWN for 20% 0ff!) // Earrings: Baublebar // Sunnies: Ray-Ban

In case you were wondering, this is NOT a sponsored post by Crocs. But I was able to walk around Napa all day in these wedges and at the end of the day, my feet had no blisters and no pain from wearing these babies. So they definitely get my full endorsement (for whatever that’s worth, lol!) and at around $50, I would highly recommend them! They also come in gray and black.
