Hey friends! Miss me? I know I’ve been really MIA lately, sorry about that. I took an extended vacation to Orlando and Clearwater, Florida for about a week and a half and COMPLETELY unplugged! As bad as it sounds, I have never gone on vacation and not checked social media or not posted to anything. It’s seriously life changing! If you ever get a chance to do it – DO IT! I felt so good when I got back and ready to tackle the world.
I am a notorious over-packer, who’s with me? I took a ginormous suitcase with me and thought I had to fill it up. Well, I only ended up wearing about half of what I packed and we even extended our vacation a few extra days. So from now on, I’ve decided two things: one, I’m going to invest in a smaller suitcase and two, I’m going to learn how to pack lighter if it kills me!
I have a quick little stint to Texas, planned at the end of April, so I’m thinking about trying to just take a carry-on. #ithinkican For those of you who usually take carry-ons, how do you do it with your makeup and any other products that you can’t put in a 3 oz bottle? Any tips or tricks you want to share, I’d be so grateful!

Most of our trip was spent on the beach or around the pool, so today’s Wednesday Wish List is all about my beach essentials; the things I packed that I did wear.
If you followed me on Insta Stories or Snapchat you might’ve seen that I got quite burnt while we were in Florida, so a great hat is a must if you’re going to be out in the sun. I wore my favorite trucker hat from my trip to Kauai, but this one is adorable!
If we weren’t walking or laying on the beach, we were doing a LOT of eating and drinking our way throughout Clearwater so a comfortable pair of sneakers were essential, these are my current favorites and so comfortable. But, for those times when we wanted to dress up a bit, this pretty ruffle top would’ve been so cute. Especially with this necklace and a good tan or swap the necklace out for a cute pair of earrings. I love these and these.
Any beach vacation calls for a fun swimsuit. I bought these and this top, but I really want this one. The color and cutouts are so sexy and fun! Throw on a cute pair of sandals and a fun little cover-up and you’re all set. A great pair of jean shorts is necessary too. I got these right before I left and wore them almost every day.
You know this girl likes her sunnies and these ones under $15 are almost identical to the real ones! You can’t go out in the sun without some hydration. They make the cutest bottles now, but this one (only $8!) with the lemons on it is just too good to pass up. Of course, you need a bag to put it all in, I think this pom-pom one will do the trick.
Have I forgotten anything? What are your beach essentials? Let me know if you’d like me to do a travel recap on all of the places we went and the restaurants we ate it. I had THE most amazing grouper tacos while we were there. In fact, I don’t think I ate a single meal that wasn’t seafood. It’s just so. good!
As always, thank for reading!
