Happy Friday! This week I’ve been giving you outfit ideas for your Thanksgiving dinner. To see the other two see here and here. Today is my last Thanksgiving outfit and it’s my favorite one so far. I wanted to share looks with you for any type of Thanksgiving that you celebrate with your families. The first Thanksgiving outfit was casual, just an oversized sweater, distressed jeans and boots.
The second Thanksgiving outfit was a little more dressed up. A nice cream sweater, a cardigan, black pants and boots. I wore my new red Hunter boots, but you can swap those out for any riding boot in either black or brown.
The last Thanksgiving outfit is a little more dressed up than the last, being that it’s a dress. I chose to pair it with over the knee boots, which were all the rage last year and are getting just as much love this year, if not more. The key to not looking like Pretty Woman is to make sure that your skirt is longer and that you’re not wearing too tight of clothes. See how I wore them last year here.
There are so many different ways that you can wear a dress like this. Either with a scarf, like I have; by itself as you’ll see in the next pictures below or with a vest or cardigan. The styling possibilities are endless. The nice thing about this dress is you can even wear it as a skirt by putting a sweater over it.
I wish I could remember where I got this dress, I’ve had it so long. But I love the cutouts on it. It gives it a very interesting detail where accessories aren’t really even needed, but I chose to wear this Gorjana lariat that I bought earlier this year from Rocksbox.
Dress: Old (similar, I’ve linked several other options below) // Scarf: Nasty Gal (almost identical for $8!) // Over the knee boots: Ivanka Trump (sold out, option save, spend, spend a little more – I want these in the taupe!) // Short pendant: Kendra Scott, Long necklace: Gorjana via Rocksbox c/o (last chance to try Rocksbox and get your first month for FREE with code: STYLEHERCLOSETXOXO) // Bag: Michael Kors (similar) // Sunnies: Amazon (only $10!! They show up in the widget below in tortoise)
