Styled Two Ways: Black Blazer

styled two ways black blazerHi friends! Welcome to the March edition of Styled Two Ways! You may be asking yourself, wait it’s not the first Friday of the month? And you’d be right, Kathrine and I missed last week due to the freezing weather we’ve been having lately, therefore picture taking wasn’t an option. Buut, it looks like the proverbial cloud has cleared and we’re on our way out of this…finally!

If you’re new around these parts, first of all, welcome! I’m glad you’re here! A little bit about Styled Two Ways for the new kids…my blogger gal pal Kathrine and I collaborate each month (typically the first Friday of every month) to bring you a piece a clothing that we style, well two different ways! This month we decided on a black blazer. We’re both wearing ours with jeans today, proving that your blazer doesn’t just have to be for your 9-5.

black blazer graphic tee boyfriend jeansBlack blazer: Express (old, similar) // Graphic Tee: Alloy (old, similar graphic, but in a baseball tee, love this one!) // Boyfriend jeans: Gap (old, similar) // Bootie: Not Rated via DSW (sold out, almost exactsimilar) // Quilted bag: Asos (old, love this one and it’s under $40!, super similar) // Watch: Daniel Wellington // Rings: Stella & Dot, Baublebar // Earrings: Baublebar (mine are in Opal) // Bracelet: JewelryNut (old, similar and on sale!) // Sunnies: Amazon (less than $10!)

Kathrine dressed up her distressed jeans with a killer pair of heels and a cute plaid top! See her blog for her outfit details! I chose to style my boyfriend blazer with one of my favorite graphic tees and these kick-ass studded heels that I found at DSW last year. Unfortunately they are sold out, but I did manage to find a pair that is all gold studs instead of these white and gold ones, last seen here. My graphic tee is old too, but you can find graphic tees just about everywhere. They are the perfect piece to dress down this typically dressed up piece. With the boyfriend jeans and the studded booties, I’m ready for any night on the town, or dinner out with friends. I would even wear this to go run errands in, but first I’d swap out the booties for a tennis shoe or Converse. I have my eye on these! (ha) #canthelpit

Have a great weekend!

As always, thanks for reading!

xoxo, Hillary

Super cute, what’s the deal with jeans these days? is this the typcial look, what happened to flare or boot cut jeans? Am I stuck in the 90’s with these? Love seeing your updates, you look so great!!

    • Hillary

Thanks Ang! Lol, trends can be super confusing sometimes, but lucky for you, the 70’s are back with flare jeans this season! 🙂

I like seeing options to get more use out of some of the “staples” in my closet. Also, I’m more of a flats person than heels. Could you show some options with flats? Thanks for the ideas.

    • Hillary

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll be sure to incorporate more looks with flats! Stay tuned! 🙂

  • So Pretty Ladies! I love versatile pieces in my wardrobe! Great ideas, I always struggle with blazers! Love what you both came up with!

Thanks Audrey! 🙂 Wearing a blazer in a less suit-like way is my favorite look for them!
