How to: Start Wearing Your Spring Dress NOW + A Giveaway with Shabby Apple!

Even though some days it’s starting to feel like spring and I am so anxious to put away my faux fur vests, parkas and snowboots, Mother Nature rarely gives us the weather we want. See those little white flecks in my pictures? Yah, that’s snow. {insert sad face} Nevermind that it was 50 degrees the day before. #cantmakeuphermind

This multi-personality weather is not conducive to putting those aforementioned items away, but it is a great opportunity for me to show how to start wearing your spring dresses right now!

Last week I told you how to get more wear out of your shorts in the winter. This week I’m showing how to start wearing your spring dresses now. But this time, it doesn’t involve tights!

Ok, so can we please talk about this adorable yellow dress now? I can’t get enough of the flouncy, flirty little detail at the bottom and because the silhouette is slimmer in the body, by putting a simple turtleneck sweater over it, it looks like a skirt! Be sure to drop back by later this week to see how I style this dress for LATER!

  • So the weather in Houston is equally bipolar, just on the opposite end of the spectrum 🙂 in fact, I do believe we’ve gone from Winter to Summer, completely bypassing Spring. My turn to insert a sad face. And how clever, wearing a dress under that sweater. I was convinced it was a skirt, and a really lovely one at that.
