If you follow me on Instagram then you know that my family and I took a little vacation a couple of weeks ago to Nashville! While we were only there for about 6 days, we definitely made the most of it! I threw in a couple of Instagrams just in case you’re not following me (which you should be!) and missed them! 🙂 Most of these pictures were taken with my iPhone so excuse any blurriness. Taking a picture with lots of light on an iPhone is not easy! #notaprofessionaliphonepicturetaker Let me know if you have any questions about any of the places that we went to. I’d love to share more with you!
The first night my mom, sister and I had tickets to see a show at the Grand Ole Opry and Rascal Flatts was there!

*I just wanted to note that I really not a big garden person, but the gardens, exhibitions and the original mansion are really something to be seen. I couldn’t get a good picture of it, so I snagged this one from Cheekwood’s Instagram feed. This is another example of the exhibition that’s currently going on right now. If you’re in Nashville or near the area, you have to go see this!
The Acme Feed & Seed has the best brisket sandwiches – completely messy, I’m surprised they don’t give you a bib for it, but it’s so worth it!
We took the backstage tour of the Ryman Auditorium but unfortunately we weren’t allowed to take pictures, so I’ll just have those memories in my mind! I would recommend doing this as well. You get to see the dressings rooms of Johnny Cash and Minnie Pearle and so much more!
Belle Meade Plantation, if you’re into any kind of history at all this is another place that I would recommend. This old southern plantation has some beautiful gardens, a very interesting tour of the mansion and wine tasting! Who doesn’t love that! I think one of the coolest things about it is that you can still see the bullet holes in the columns outside the mansion from the Civil War. I’m not a history buff, but that’s just cool!
Finally, The Bluebird Cafe, because I’m a nerd and I love the show Nashville. Unfortunately they weren’t open when we stopped by and you have to make reservations to get in. Believe me, you’d want to. The place is tiny! It’s also located in a strip mall, which, if you’ve ever seen the show, you’d never know. If you blink you’ll drive right by it!
Well that’s it for my Nashville travels. Thanks for reading (if you made it this far)! 😉 Shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or need other recommendations. This was my first trip to Nashville, but it certainly won’t be my last! Remember to follow along on Instagram for more of my travel pics at #SSTtravelDiaries.
As always, thanks for reading!
