Hey loves! I’m back on this lovely Friday to bring you the second round of our Friday Football series on how to wear your orange! If you missed the first one, be sure to check it out here. If not, then I’m sure you know that I’ve teamed up with 10 other fabulous bloggers to show how we wear our orange and support our teams!
I’ve definitely been slow on the uptake in accepting that fall was coming, but now that it’s here, it also brings with it, football! Being a third generation alum of the University of Illinois, we definitely bleed orange and blue and if there’s a home football game, you can bet that we’ll be tailgating!
In all honesty, in the Midwest, we don’t “dress up” for football games and tailgating. It’s usually pretty chilly, if not downright cold for most of the season, so hoodies, puffy vests and boots are required. Would I wear this to a game or a tailgate, sure, but only at the beginning of the season when it’s still warm out. So consider this outfit as inspiration for a game watching party at a bar or a house, or if you’re lucky enough to live in the South and can get away with it.
And can we please talk about these leather accessories that I’m wearing! My friends over at Nickel & Suede are the coolest and make the most unique pieces out of leather. This gold cuff and earrings look heavy and made from metal, but in fact, are actually leather earrings and virtually weightless. My ears sometimes get sore from wearing long earrings all day, but I also have them in orange, and because they’re made from a lightweight leather, I could wear them all day and had no pain, see how I wore them, here!
Well, friends that’s all for me today, be sure to click below on all the other ladies posts and check out how they’re wearing their orange! Have a great weekend!
As always, thanks for reading!
