Lace + Lace-Ups

Hey friends and Happy Friday! My week, surprisingly went pretty quick. Usually, a short week always seems longer to me. Anyone else agree?

On to today’s topic! Lace is a trend that I was very cautious about when it first came out. I was worried about giving off the too-delicate or too-risque vibe. But when paired with a great pair of camo print jeans (last seen here), it creates a beautiful juxtaposition. Lace is no longer, just for the bedroom or a pretty lace doily for your table, it’s a huge trend in fashion and getting bigger by the minute. However, the lace-up trend is just as hot, if not hotter! Anything from heels to flats and even clothes, the lace-ups are just about everywhere and I don’t see it going anywhere any time soon.

Top: Target (old, similar, here) // Camo pants: Express (old, option here, here, here and here) // Necklace: Baublebar (similar) // Heels: Steve Madden (old, still available in 5 other colors, nude options here, here and here) // Bag: Michael Kors (similar) // Sunnies: Jason Wu via Ditto c/o (try out asny designer sunglasses for $24/month. I picked these heels up last year in blue (last seen here) and loved them so much that I bought them in nude too! A girl can never have too many nude heels, in my opinion, at least!

I wasn’t so sure about the lace-up flats at first, but they are definitely growing on me and I’m on the hunt for a pair that won’t break the bank. So plllease let me know if you find some! I’m also probably going to go with, wait for it….blush or nude, because they’ll go with everything! Boring, I know! #sorryimnotsorry

So what do you think of the lace trend? Are you on board or letting this one pass?

Hope you have a great weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday!

As always, thanks for reading!

xoxo, Hillary
