I always get excited when I find out about fashion companies that give back to those in need. So when Headbands of Hope reached out to me about working with them, it was a resounding “YES!” Headbands of Hope is an organization started by Jessica Ekstrom during her junior year of college. The year before, she was doing an internship at a wish-granting organization and noticed that the girls liked to wear headbands after they would lose their hair to chemotherapy. So Headbands of Hope was created and for every headband purchased, one is given to a child with cancer. (I previewed this on my Snapchat, @hi11ary83) Don’t worry, the boys did not get left out, as they like to wear buffs. How amazing is it that in June 2015, this company had donated headbands and buffs to every children’s hospital in the United States!
Guys, these headbands are SO cute! At less than $25, there are so many different options, it’s hard to pick which is my favorite! This patriotic one would be perfect for your 4th of July festivities and I love this one, this one and this polka dot one! They also have more than just headbands, though. How about a beautiful flower crown for your next music festival? A pretty beaded one for a girl’s night out? Or these would be perfect for the gym or out running errands. They’d also make great gifts! 😉
Knowing that a small purchase on something so simple as a headband can brighten up some little girl or boy’s day! When those days may be so few, creates a feeling that you just can’t put into words.
