Happy Wednesday and as some like to call it, Hump Day! Is anyone else channeling the camels on the Geico commercials right now or is it just me? We are now into the second week of a new year and Winter is in full swing here. We were so lucky all of November and December to not have had any snow and 50 degree weather. I was actually feeling a little nostalgic for some snow, which shocked me after having gone through Snowmageddon just 11 months before. But in true Midwestern fashion we not only have snow, but we have FREEZING cold temps. I’m talking -20 windchill last week. But today we actually had a heat wave, it got all the way up to 18 degrees! Thank God for little wins!
Top: TJMaxx (old, almost identical) // Vest: VonMaur (old, similar here) // Leggings: Cynthia Rownley via TJMaxx (old, similar here, here, under $20!!) // Heels: Jessica Simpson via Nordstrom // Bar Necklace: Bip & Bop // Statement Necklace: Gift // Earrings: Kendra Scott // Watch: Michael Kors // Clutch: TJMaxx (old, super similar, under $25!) // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
As you can clearly see, these pictures were taken when we didn’t have all that white stuff on the ground and I didn’t need hand warmers stuffed in certain places just to be able to take a decent outfit shot. See those on Friday! Being in my er um early 30’s now, geesh, I definitely tend to have more Girl’s Nights In (GNI) over Girl’s Nights Out (GNO), but on those rare occassions I like to dress up a little. Give me my favorite pair of leather panel leggings, a crisp red silk top and a furry faux fur vest and I’ll be set for a cocktail or two, or three…who’s counting!? The faux fur vest is a must-have for the unlikely (but potential bar hoping that could occur) during said night. Hey, a girl’s gotta be ready for anything, right?
What are your go-to GNO outfits? Do you have something that’s a must-have? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
As always, thanks for reading!
