Happy Friday my friends! We finally made it and even better, I’m back to blogging! Thank you so much for your kind words, support and love on the passing of my Gram. She was a very special lady and I miss her every day. Thank you also for letting me take the time that I needed to be with my family and to grieve. Knowing that I had this blog and you, my readers to come back to helped me to get through it and to have something to look forward to. Gram knew how much I loved blogging and she was always asking me about my latest post or how she could click on it from her Facebook. That’s right folks, at 89 years old my Gram had Facebook! She was one cool lady! 🙂
I like to think that I got some of my fashion sense from my Gram. I remember staying with her and my Grandpa in Kansas during the summers when I was younger and going through her closets. I would always try on her clothes and especially her fancy heels. I loved walking around in her shoes, I felt so glamorous!
Gram loved to wear dark colors, blacks, browns, neutral tones. But she also had her fair share of bright colors too. While navy was never really in her repertoire, I think she’d approve of this navy dress look! Navy is one of my favorite neutrals to wear and I don’t think it gets the recognition it deserves. It’s dark, it’s neutral and it will pretty much go with any other color as evidenced here. I recently wore this same navy dress, but paired it with a turquoise statement necklace and espadrille wedges instead of this blingy pink necklace and mirror wedges from last year. I love re-fashioning pieces in my closet. With just the change of an accessory, you can give the dress a whole new look!
As always, thank you for reading!
