This is the last of my #TBSCon looks and one of my favorites! Wait, did I say that about all of the others? Lol I wore this colorblock dress for the first night of the conference. For my other looks, see here and here. We had a fun cocktail party at Sugar Factory, which was so fun and such a cool experience. The lovely ladies at Vera Bradley hosted the kickoff party and it was such a blast getting to meet some girls that I hadn’t yet and catching up with others I had!
I really hadn’t planned it, but when you match the pattern on the wall, you really can’t help but ham it up! The weirdest story happened to Tish and me when we were taking these photos. After we got done shooting, we noticed these two guys start walking up towards us. We quickly realized by their accents that they were German and asked us for directions.
They must’ve thought that we were locals, (which, about 8 years ago, I was!) anyways, we told them we didn’t know and then they proceeded to invite us to their friend’s pool at an apartment nearby. I mean, really?? Do we look like two girls who are just going to spontaneously go with two strangers (men, at that!) to their “friend’s apartment with a pool!?” I watch too much Dateline to fall for that shit! Lol
These pictures are really making me miss my long hair! But this was also a good hair day/weekend and that rarely happens!
You really don’t need a whole lot of accessories with this dress. The colorblock pattern pretty much speaks for itself. But I wore these pretty tassel earrings (tassels are HUGE for fall!) Try these or these that posted on my Insta Stories for only $13! And a pretty gold choker with my new bag I snagged from the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, which looks like it was almost made for this dress!
PRO TIP: This necklace is actually 2-in-1, so you can wear the two pieces together, separately (like I did here) or pair them with other delicate necklaces you might have. You’ll definitely get so much more wear out of it that way!
On a totally different note, did any of you see The Sinner with Jessica Biel? It was an 8 episode mini-series that only ran this summer and the finale was last night. My roommate and I never missed an episode! It was such a good show and totally suspenseful, if you like those kinds of shows, I highly recommend watching it! It was on USA, so you’d probably have to stream it, somehow.
Speaking of TV, who’s excited for next week when all of the fall shows start up again for the season!? Something you may not know about me, I’m a HUGE TV junkie. I watch at least 12 or so shows, maybe? Ok, I can’t believe I just admitted that. The ones I’m looking forward to the most are This Is Us (of course!) Scandal, Grey’s, Designated Survivor and all of the Chicago shows (Fire, PD and Med.) See, I wasn’t kidding!
What shows are you excited about?
As always, thanks for reading!
