Beach Vacation Essentials

I’ve been hinting for awhile now that I’m going on vacation somewhere tropical soon and now we are in the homestretch! Some of you may also be starting to plan for your summer vacations and it’s never too early to start planning what you’re going to wear and take. Also, now is the time to get all of your beach must-haves before all of the cool colors and styles sell out! So I thought I’d round up some of my beach vacation essentials to help you get excited for summer and maybe even a vacation for yourself!

This fringe suit is just too cute for words! I’ve never really been into the whole mix-and-match suits, but I wasn’t a fan of the string bikini bottoms that match so I went with a solid color to match it.

High-waisted suits started coming out last season and this year, they’re huge! Again, not digging the itty-bitty bottoms, I was so excited to snag this suit in a fun tropical print!

Sunglasses are MAJOR must-have! You rarely see me without them and these are only $12!!

Tassels are another huge trend this year and I for one can’t get enough of them, Especially these earrings and bracelets.

What swimsuit is complete without a fun pom-pom cover-up?

This towel is so cute for the beach!

I am one of those people who could lay by the pool all day, but I always have to have a good book or magazine along with me!

The off-the-shoulder trend is booming this year and this little chambray one would look adorable paired with white cut-offs.

You don’t want to ruin your vacation with a sunburn, so a hat and sunblock is definitely a MUST HAVE in my book! I love the tropical scent of Banana Boat. Their Aloe Aftersun lotion is amazing too, in case you happen miss some spots with your block! (Note: This post is not sponsored by Banana Boat, I just really love this stuff!)

And last but not least, a great straw bag to put everything in and sandals to get you there! If you’re going to the beach, hot sand does not feel good on your feet and neither does hot cement. I picked these fun ones up at Zappos. They are a little more than I would usually spend on sandals, but these are orthotic, sexy, I know! (insert monkey emoji with hands covering his eyes) to support my feet now that they are little more fragile than they used to be. 🙁 I searched near and far to find cute ones that wouldn’t make my feet hurt and these fit the bill.

So what’s on your beach essentials list? Let me know in the comments below, in case I missed something!

As always, thanks for reading!

xoxo, Hillary
