Good morning and happy Friday! It should not come as a surprise to you that this post is focused around leopard. Moreso, though, leopard as a neutral. I think that leopard print got a bad rep a long time ago, that it was only for the rich or that it was tacky. I for one, love this print as evidenced here, here, here and here,
I love a monochromatic look and a pop of leopard print to break up the monotony. Leopard is also a great option with print mixing. It looks fantastic paired with plaid and stripes. My look today, however, is mainly focused on neutral pieces.
A luxe-looking camel cardigan (bought during the #NSale, that’s sadly sold out in this color,) my hands-down absolutely favorite cami of all time, (I seriously probably wear it at least once a week, if not more!) and a great pair of distressed white denim, (which, by the way, CAN and SHOULD be worn after Labor Day!) #bearulebreaker are all great neutrals to pair with leopard.
Cardigan: Nordstrom (sold out in this color, option here and here) // Jeans: Topshop (similar here and here) // Cami: Topshop // Heels: Alysia c/o // Leather earrings: Nickel & Suede c/o // Name necklace: Julia Marie c/o (use code SMALLTOWNSTYLE to get 20% off! Expires 11/20/16) // Initial pendant necklace: Emma Jane Designs c/o // Leather cuff: Nickel & Suede c/o // Bag: Old Navy // Watch: Michael Kors // Sunnies: Ray-Ban
Let’s chat quick about these heels. They are made of handcrafted leather and standing at a little over 3 inches, are the perfect heel height. They are also surprisingly comfortable too. I love the black patent leather ankle strap detail and the back heel wrap. They also come in a really cool black snakeskin print too.
They are a little on the pricier side, but I know that these babies will get a lot of wear, thus bringing down my cost per wear. These heels will be super cute peeping out under a flare leg jean or paired with black ponte pants and an oversized sweater. They could be dressed up for date night or a girl’s night out. Or down for a little sassier look during the day. The styling possibilities are endless.
So tell me, do you consider leopard as a neutral? How would you wear a leopard heel?
As always, thanks for reading and GO CUBBIES! 🙂
