I’m back today with my second look from Pashmina Perfection. I couldn’t believe how well this Mohave Mosaic print scarf worked with my new Loft skirt and my bag, from Target last year. It was almost as if they were made for each other! If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’m a big fan of print mixing. It’s a trend that’s been around for a couple of years, but been on the rise in the last year. I was always very leery about trying it myself, but once I tried it, I was hooked! The key to pulling this off is to follow these two guidelines below.
Jacket: Target (old, similar) // Top: Target (old, similar) // Skirt: Loft (color isn’t available anymore, but I love it in the white, similar color) // Scarf: Pashmina Perfection c/o // Bag: Target (old, almost identical) // Booties: BCBG from Nordstrom (sold out, similar, loove these!) // Earrings and Cuff Bracelet: Rockbox c/o (use code at checkout: styleherclosetxoxo to get your first month for FREE!) // Bracelet set: The Shopping Bag c/o // Watch: Daniel Wellington // Sunnies: Ray-Ban
1. Match prints with the same color scheme. In this case, I matched the black and white mohave print with the black and white stripes on my top.
2. Match a bigger print with a smaller print, or a simple print with a busier print. The print on my scarf is pretty busy and loud with bold colors and big geometric shapes. So I paired it with a classic, simple stripe top with thinner stripes to offset the scarf.
That’s it, follow those two guidelines and you’ll be on your way to print mixing in no time!
