So much to cover today so here it goes: how many of you thought my new accessory was going to be a piece of jewelry, handbag or shoes? Wrong! If you’ve been following me on Instagram (which you totally should be!) you’ve seen that my #ootds have been a little different lately, i.e. only one shoe!

A quick re-cap, about 4 weeks ago I was told I had a stress fracture in my left heel so I’ve been in soft casts since then, changing them out every week. Fast forward to last week when I went in for another cast change and they did x-rays. They discovered that it had actually broken all together and was a complete fracture and sent me to get an MRI to confirm. The doctor also said that she wanted to do surgery this week to remove the bone cyst that she thinks caused the stress fracture in the first place.

Results come in and it just so happens that there is no fracture! There might not even be a stress fracture (they’re not 100% positive on this though, I guess they are hard to tell). But my heel has not healed (pun intended, is that getting old, I need a little humor in my life, right!?) as quickly as they would like so now , along with my walking boot, I have a knee scooter. For two weeks! Ugh… Trying to find the silver lining in it though, I’ll get back to you when it comes to me. Oh, but no surgery so that’s a BIG plus! Thanks again for all of your sweet comments and support, it means so much to me! 🙂

On to this look: My TJMaxx, unfortunately, doesn’t carry a very good selection of name brand pieces but I was lucky enough to find this Free People one that I bought last year and I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve worn it. I’m actually surprised that it’s held up as well as it has with as many wears as it’s gotten. But that’s good quality for you. One of the main focuses of this blog is to provide you with inspiration of attainable and affordable fashion. Shopping at TJMaxx is exactly that! You get great quality for a fraction of the price.

I also wanted to quickly mention that I’m guest blogging on my sweet friend Miranda’s blog today while she’s out on maternity leave! I’ve been blogging now for about 10 months but I’ve certainly learned a lot thus far and I wanted to share with you 5 things I’ve learned! Be sure to pop on over and check it out!

As always, thanks for reading!

xoxo, Hillary
