I can NOT believe that Christmas is only 11 days away! I know I say that all the time, but really!? Wednesday is the last day for standard mail to be shipped in order to arrive on time and Friday is the last day to ship anything FedEx without having to pay extra for shipping. So keep these dates in mind when shopping online or with any of my gift guides!
Another thing to keep in mind is what you’re going to wear to New Years? If you’re a planner like me, you’ve already got yours planned and ready to go, but if not, don’t worry there’s still time! That’s why I wanted to show you this little outfit I put together. This post was originally planned to go out last week, but with me being away it didn’t get posted. Soo… you get two outfit posts this week! #areyouupset
I first saw sequin leggings pop up last year and wasn’t quite sure about them, but bought a pair anyways. I went with a little cheaper version to ease myself into the trend. I learned my lesson because I loved them and since I went a little cheaper, I was only able to wear them one time! 🙁 So I set out trying to find another pair to replace them.
This little bow top has gotten so much wear in my closet (last seen here, another bow look) and it was only $20! Unfortunately, it’s not available anymore but there are several versions of it that are still available (linked below) or you can create your own with any top and a bow! Or make your own, like I did in this post! I wanted to make this look not so rocker, so I paired it with a structured blazer to give it a little bit more of a sophisticated look. Did it work?
Bow top: Forever 21 (not available anymore, similar here, here) // Blazer: Express (super old, similar, here) // Leggings: old (different color, love these, almost identical) // Bag: Forever 21 (identical option) // Heels: Jessica Simpson // Necklace: Kendra Scott via Rocksbox c/o // Watch: Daniel Wellington (my favorite and would make for a perfect gift for a guy or a girl, mine’s the men’s watch style) // Bracelet: Baublebar // Sunnies: Amazon (the image below is tortiseshell, but they come in black)
I love New Years, but I do realize that it’s WAY over-hyped and WAY under followed-thru. Last year my sister and I decided to throw a little party at our casa and to carry the “tradition” on again this year! House parties are so much better (and less expensive!) than going out! #karaokeanyone
So what are your plans for NYE? Going out or staying in?
