Spring Plaid + TBC Link-Up

You may have noticed by now that I am a heel girl. I love to wear heels, wedges, block sandals, etc. Even though I’m 5’9 you’ll almost always catch me wearing heels. Even though I’m tall already, I love the way it elongates my legs and for some reason I feel more confident and sexy in heels and I stand a little taller.

I do, however, wear flats a lot of the time too. Winter is just not the time for it though. There are always flat boots or riding boots, but flats just aren’t meant to be worn in the Winter. Something about freezing toes? I don’t know!? So when the weather turned nice I couldn’t wait to bust out my flats. You’ll probably see a lot of them around here now that it’s warm enough to wear them, because, well, I have a lot. Actually, I have a lot of shoes in general…

Fact: My old boss challenged me to see how many days I could go wearing a different shoe everyday. Let’s just say, we both lost count! I may or may not have a small shoe addiction? But, I digress. A reader asked me recently to show more outfits with flats, which I love, please, please keep the comments and suggestions coming!! I love to get your feedback!! So today I decided to style this fun Spring-like plaid tunic, my favorite distressed jeans and block sandals and then with flats.

Which do you like better? Are you flats girl or a heels lover?spring plaid tunic

I’m so excited today is here! I was like a kid on Christmas Eve last night waiting for the day to arrive! A couple of girlfriends and I are going to the Cole Swindel, Tyler Faar and Jason Aldean concert tonight! It’s been awhile since I’ve been able to have a girl’s night out and I’m so pumped!! Follow along on my Instagram for pictures from the night!

Also, today I’m participating in a fun Spring Things Link-Up with some amazing bloggers through The Blogger Collective. Check out these blogs below and say hi! Link-ups are a fun way to find new blogs and meet new people!

Have a great weekend and as always, thanks for reading!

xoxo, Hillary

    • Thanks so much! I love wearing heels, it’s pretty much all I ever wear! I started wearing them in high school with jeans, so I’ve had a long time to practice! lol

    • Thanks so much, Courtney! The second I saw it, I knew it had to be mine! 😉

  1. So adorable! Love this look. I can’t wait to start wearing sandals. Hope you had a great time at your concert. And thanks for linking up with TBC!

    • Thanks Nikki! I love sandals more than anything and the concert was AMAZING! The link-up was a ton of fun! Thanks for hosting it – looking forward to the next one!

  2. Nice to find another tall blogger 🙂 Although I can’t say I share the same love for heels haha. I love this look, especially that mint bag!

  3. This made me laugh! I have a lot of shoes too – so many that I rarely let myself look at shoes when I’m shopping anymore! I also agree as a heel girl. Even if it’s a short heel, just an inch or two, I feel a lot more polished and confident.

    • Now that’s willpower! I almost always buy shoes before anything else, it’s a problem! Heels are magic! Lol! Thanks for stopping by Katherine! 🙂

  4. I am with you about shoes. I have a few pairs of my own, but I also have the staples, and the ones that I go to most often. I think its a great idea how you showed how to style this look with both heels and flats! Brilliant!

Thanks for being a part of the Blogger Collective Linkup! Nice to meet you!

    • Thank you so much Jordan! That means a lot to me! I had a great time in the link-up! I’m excited for the next one! Thanks for stopping by!

    • Thanks Kathrine! How did I not know that we share this love too!? I have been a country fan for well over 10 years now! My college roommate got me hooked! I’ll definitely give you the low down after tonight! You too! 🙂

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
